    1. His story is spellbinding. Can you imagine losing your two fellow adventurers in Antarctica back then and then falling down an ice crevice alone, pulling yourself out, then trudging another 200 miles, eating your dogs on the way before running out of food! Hero indeed.

      2. Thanks for your link. Mawson was a South Australian so I’m not sure of the Tasmanian connection, though of course it’s closest to Antarctica. What do you like about Tasmania apart from those devils?
